Healthcare Security Content Strategy and Creation

Context & Mandate
Person Centered Tech operates in a highly regulated healthcare environment where trust, accuracy, and compliance are non-negotiable. At the same time, the market was saturated with dense, formal HIPAA content that often failed to engage practitioners in meaningful or memorable ways.
The founder identified an opportunity to experiment with a more approachable, culturally fluent format for explaining HIPAA concepts—meeting clinicians where they already were, without compromising rigor or trust.
The mandate was to determine whether this concept could be strategically designed and operationalized into a repeatable, compliant engagement system that supported education, product adoption, and brand credibility.
My Role & Scope
I led the strategy and execution of this initiative, working in close collaboration with the founder and design team.
While the initial concept originated with the founder, I was responsible for:
Defining the strategic intent and success criteria
Designing a compliant, repeatable content system
Establishing guardrails that protected accuracy, tone, and brand trust
Leading cross-functional execution with design and marketing
Integrating the work into broader product education and adoption efforts
In short: I translated a founder-led idea into a scalable, governed system the organization could rely on.
The System Designed and Executed
Rather than treating the content as one-off “memes,” I led the development of a structured engagement system with clear boundaries and purpose.
Key components included:
- Compliance-First Content Strategy: I defined content principles and review standards to ensure every asset remained educational, accurate, and defensible—even when the tone was informal or culturally referential.
- Founder Voice, Strategically Scaled The founder’s expertise and perspective were preserved, while the system reduced reliance on ad-hoc involvement by creating clear formats, themes, and execution patterns.
- Intentional Distribution and Use Content was deployed to support awareness, education, and downstream product adoption—rather than chasing reach or virality for its own sake.
Impact
The initiative delivered strong engagement and strategic value without increasing compliance risk:
Increased engagement on complex HIPAA topics in an approachable format
Strong positive audience response to human-centered, accurate education
Expanded capacity for HIPAA education beyond long-form resources
Reinforced brand trust while broadening how compliance content could show up
Most importantly, it demonstrated that regulated education can be engaging without sacrificing rigor.
Why This Matters
This work shows how founder insight becomes truly valuable when paired with strong strategic and operational leadership.
1,500+ independent opt-ins, with no paid promotion
Hundreds of shares and forwards, extending reach via client networks
Increased client satisfaction and product stickiness through passive enablement
Social media buzz and peer-to-peer referral traffic
Generated incremental revenue by driving awareness to paid compliance tools and trainings
The value was in proving that human, engaging communication can coexist with regulatory discipline—and be scaled responsibly.
Positioning note:
This case reflects collaborative leadership across founder vision, design execution, and marketing strategy. I led the strategic framing and execution, ensuring the work was compliant, repeatable, and aligned to broader business goals.
